2010 Seedy Saturday Events

2010 Seedy Saturday events we will be attending.

Come and see us in person at the following Seedy Saturday events!  We offer more than seeds.  We have a growing assortment of trees, shrubs, perennials, native plants, roses, iris and blue ribbon winning naturally creamed wildflower honey from our own apiary.  Though we are not certified, we follow organic growing practices.

Those who regularly attend Seedy Saturdays/Sundays always find treasures among the diversity of products offered by vendors and the knowledge of those giving workshops.  If you've never attended a Seedy Saturday event, this is a chance to take advantage of the resources made available in a single forum.

Qualicum Beach, Feburary 6, at the Qualium Beach Civic Centre, 747 Jones Street, (10am-4pm).  Visit their site for information on an array of topics from speakers to vendors and more!   http://qbss.bravehost.com

Victoria, Feburary 20, at the Victoria Conference Centre, 720 Douglas Street Victoria (10am-3pm)

VanDusen Botanical Garden, Feburary 27.  At 37th and Oak Street Vancouver (10am-4pm) in (and outside) the Floral Hall.  Hosted by the Master Gardeners.  Great diversity of vendors and speakers plus how-to workshops!

Courtenay. Visit the event March 6. At the Florence Filberg Centre, 411 Anderton Avenue or near intersection of 5th and Cliff Ave,(10am-3pm) in downtown Courtenay.  Lots of parking.  A comprehensive vendor list (complete with e-mail and web links) and guest speakers is available at www.cvseeds.bc.ca

Nanaimo, March 7, at the Bowen Park Auditorium, 500 Bowen Road, (10am-4pm).  A small action packed venue with lots of parking.  Vendors, speakers and workshops...oh my!

Cobble Hill, March 13th, at the Cobble Hill Hall, 3550 Watson Avenue...watch the event's road signs along the Island Highway (10am-3pm).  Relaxed venue in the country side but packed with a diversity of vendors and speakers plus one heck of a seed exchange/swap table.

Thank you to all who support small independent seed savers in their endevor to keep our botanical heritage alive and promote sustainable land stewardship.
