Welcome! Our little patch of Eden, located near a small coastal island town in British Columbia, is constantly evolving to include a greater diversity of unique native plants and rare and hard to find species and varieties from around the world. Though we are not certified organic, we’ve followed organic growing practices since our inception in 1995. The thought of using man-made chemicals and fertilizers never sat well with our sense of stewardship especially when our home sits in the middle of the garden! Over the years we've seen the diversity of wildlife grow. As growers, we're pragmatic and keep all seed at 2-4C in a dedicated refrigerator. Its important to know to raise good strong plants it all starts with proper seed storage and pre-germination treatments. In turn, we are happy to share our successes with you. Our seed selection is never stagnant, but quite dynamic as our listings are updated when the seed is harvested and passes our quality checks for viability. If you have any special seed or seedling requests, we recommend you to enquire early and we will do our best. Please keep in mind we are closed from May to September, switching our focus to propagation, harvesting and chasing bees during these months. We keep e-mailing to a minimum. Seed orders will not be filled but feel free to explore our site, place us on your ‘favorites’, create an account and make out a wish list. Because of the ever growing popularity of Seedy Saturdays, seed exchanges and bulk sales, we may be out of an item on very short notice. Enjoy the resources our site offers from our articles that discuss blending your own organic fertilizers to germination information. Let the great greening begin! |
