ca$ 4.50
Seed count: 12-15
Pterostyrax corymbosa
Pterostyrax corymbosa
   Syn. Halesia corymbosa

Native Region: Central China & Japan
Zone Range: 5-9
Preferred Climate: Full to semi sun; well draining humus rich soils.
Harvest Date: Tuesday 15 November, 2011
Seed count: 12-15

Description:
Piroche describes this species as being vigorous, deciduous broad, serrated leaves to 8cm long and corymbose panicles of fragrant, white flowers in mid-spring.

Cultivation:
Soak seed 24 hours. Cold stratify in moist peat and/or sand in a resealable baggie (to maximize germination) for 60 days. When cold stratification period is over place baggie in a warm site (20C) and prick out seedlings as they emerge and transplant into a deep pot. Often more than one embryo per seed, so you might want to return the seed to its germination/stratification baggie and await the emergence of more seedlings. Provide strong indirect light and don't let the seedlings dry out.

Harvest Date: Tuesday 15 November, 2011
