Description: A mainstay in any cooks garden to add a splash of dark green colour and a mild onion taste to any dish from egg salad, omelletes, gracing a baked potato with sour cream and much more. Plant is a collection of bulblets to create a clump of hollow stems reaching 18 inches at most. Purple tufted flower heads are visited by many nectar seekers and are great as visual garnish. Can be divided to create more clumps. Can self seed. Drought tolerant when established.
Notes: Easy to grow in containers or in the garden.
Cultivation: Sow 4-5 mm deep in well draining medium. Keep moist. Should germinate in 7-20 days at 20-25C.
