Dense feathery flower tuffs adorn the multiple 1 meter spikes. Much loved by nectar seekers. Plants are drought tolerant and are great for a sunny border. Can grow into a fairly large clump that is easily divided when dormant. Prefers a dry well draining site in winter as it is intolerant of overly damp, waterlogged soils.
Use a well draining medium of equal parts peat and coarse sand or perlite. Barely cover seed. Mist well. Should germinate in 20-50 days at 15-20 C. Don't overly water seedlings.
