Tall stalks, from 2-3m (6-10ft) in height, will emerge in the early to mid summer on established mature plants. The candelabra-like stalks sport yellow and orange upright blooms, which are followed by semi-pendent shiny black twisted seedpods.
The leaves on mature specimens can grow to 3m (10ft) or more in height, and the giant candelabra-like flower stalks can reach an amazing 6m (19ft) or more on this clump-forming evergreen perennial.
