Hibiscus trionum
Native Region: Eastern Mediterranean, Levant
Zone Range: 10-11
Preferred Climate: Mediterranean
Harvest Date: Tuesday 18 September, 2012
Seed count: 20-25

Description:
This drought-tolerant, bushy annual bears large, silvery flowers with dark chocolate-purple centers from summer to fall, followed by translucent seed pods. 30 inches height; 24 inches spread.

Cultivation:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Soak seed for 48 hours prior to sowing indoors in early spring. Sow in pots of peaty compost and cover seeds with a sprinkling of sieved compost. Darkness aids germination. Place in a warm spot, maintaining an optimum temperature of 24-27°Celsius (75-80°F). Germination usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. Plant outdoors once all risk of frost is past. Grow in humusy, rich soil in full sun.

Harvest Date: Tuesday 18 September, 2012
