Description: Adapted to a wide range of temperate to subtropical climates, this is an excellent exotic annual for informal gardens, with its purple bell flowers that open in the midday sun, and its large purple 'lantern' seed pods that dry well for flower arrangements.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed at 15 degrees Celsius in early spring, or in situ in mid-spring. Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Self-seeds.
