 Cistus salviifolius |
Native Region: Southern Europe Zone Range: 08-10 Preferred Climate: Mediterranean Harvest Date: Tuesday 26 August, 2008 Seed count: 20-25
Description:
While the flowers of this species are somewhat smaller than typical for a cistus, their abundance more than makes up for their size. Pure white with a tidy crown of yellow stamens in the center of each bloom, this small evergreen shrub makes a wonderful display in the summer.
Cultivation: Sow seed in containers in a coldframe in spring. Surface sow seed thinly and keep moist and warm – seed requires light for germination. Grow in well drained soil. For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
