A vigorous rambling rose that produces large clusters of small single, fragrant white flowers in early summer. Best grown up into a very large tree. Height to 30 feet.

The original plant of Rosa filipes 'Kiftsgate' is said to be the largest rose in Britain, measuring 80 feet (24 m) x 90 feet (27 m) x 50 feet (15 m) high.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in autumn into pots or modules using standard loam-based seed compost mixed with coarse horticultural sand. Mix to a ratio of 1 part compost to 1 part sand. Cover with horticultural sand and place in a cold frame. Germination takes 2-3 months. Pot seedlings up singly and grow on in cold frame for a further season before planting out. Grow in moderately-fertile, well-drained moist soil in full sun.
