This spreading deciduous tree has peeling gray bark, ovate green leaves and bears bell-shaped, fragrant white flowers in pendent panicles in summer, followed by oblong fruit covered in yellow-brown bristles. Height 50 feet; spread 40 feet.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers outdoors in autumn. Grow in deep, fertile well-drained neutral to acidic soil in full sun or partial shade.
