Description:
Large, rounded evergreen shrub or small tree with spirally-arranged glossy, dark green leaves. It produces racemes up to 5 inches long of unusual green flowers in late spring to early summer. Suits a woodland garden or may be used as a specimen; makes a good container plant. Slow growing, it reaches a height 30 feet with a spread of 25 feet.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame in autumn. Grow in moist but <b><i>well-drained</i></b>, neutral to slightly acidic soil in either full sun or dappled shade. Do not allow to dry out. Requires protection from cold, drying winds.
