Preferred Climate: Temperate

Description:
Mat-forming evergreen perennial with finely-toothed, grasslike gray-green leaves. Bears rosy-pink, scented, toothed flowers about an inch across from spring to summer. Height 12-16 inches; spread 24 inches. Classic plant for the cottage garden and makes an excellent cut flower. May also be used for border edging or in containers.

Cultivation:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow from late winter to early summer 3mm (1/8in) deep in a good free draining seed compost. Make sure the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination, which usually takes 14-21 days at 18-21C (65-70F). Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Later plant out 30cm (12in) apart into well drained soil preferably containing lime, in a sunny spot. Prefers neutral to alkaline soil with good drainage.
