Ligusticum scoticum
Ligusticum scoticum
Native Region: western North America from B.C. to Alaska, eastern North America, northern Europe
Zone Range: 4-8
Preferred Climate: temperate
Harvest Date: Thursday 01 August, 2013
Seed count: 15-20

Description:
This upright, clump-forming perennial has divided glossy green leaves and purple-flushed stems and bears umbels of tiny white flowers in spring. Looks like a dwaft Angelica. Height to 2 feet.

Cultivation:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Seeds only have a short period of viability and so are best sown as soon as ripe in a cold frame in the autumn. Stored seed should be sown as early in the year as possible in a greenhouse or cold frame. Prick out the seedlings into individual pots when they are large enough to handle and plant them out into their permanent positions in the summer. Grow in well-drained soil in full sun.

Harvest Date: Thursday 01 August, 2013
