Description:
Large shrub or small tree with thorny branches that bears white corymbs of flowers in spring, followed by black fruit. Fruits were a food source for Native American peoples; thorns were used as fish hooks.

Notes:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.

Cultivation:
Sow seed in spring in a seedbed or in containers in an open cold frame. Grow in average soil in fulll sun or part shade.
