This miniature species hosta has dark green, tear-drop shaped leaves with slightly wavy margins and bears lavender flowers in spring. Its Japanese name is Otome Giboshi, or Beautiful Maiden Hosta. Grows to about 7 inches tall with a 14 inch spread.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame in spring. Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in morning sun in northern climates or in filtered shade in southern North America.
