This cormous perennial has linear basal leaves and bears loose umbels of purple-blue tubular flowers in early summer. Flowers open into a six-pointed star. Height to 24 inches.

The genus Triteleia is now in the family Asparagaceae.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed at 13-16 degrees Celsius as soon as seed is ripe or in early spring. Seedlings take up to three years to mature and flower. Grow in light, sandy fertile soil in full sun.
