This clump-forming semi-evergreen perennial has lance-shaped green leaves that are prominently veined and downy underneath. Bears spikes of narrow, bell-shaped red to purple flowers from mid-summer to fall. Height and spread is four feet.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seeds in autumn into pots using seed compost mixed with coarse horticultural sand. Cover with coarse horticultural sand and place outside to expose to all weather. Germination takes 4-6 months. Grow in any moist soil in full sun or part shade.
