This spreading to erect, deciduous shrub, grows to about 6 feet tall, and has opposite, 3-lobed dark green leaves. In spring, cymes of milky white flowers are produced, followed by orange-red ovoid berries in summer. Berries are used to make jams and jellies.
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame or in a seedbed in autumn. Grow in any moderately-fertile moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
