This compact semi-evergreen perennial has oval to heart-shaped green basal leaves and bears scented, lavender-blue to violet flowers in spring. Height and spread 3 inches. Suits a rock garden.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame when available or in spring. Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Deadhead to prolong flowering. Self-seeds freely.
