Native Region: Europe, Asia
Zone Range: 04-09
Preferred Climate: Temperate
Harvest Date: Sunday 23 October, 2011
Seed count: 30-40

Description:
These 1.5-2m(4-6ft) tall biennials are a good choice for informal plantings. The architectural form may be used to best advantage in modern gardens. The dried flower heads, although prickly, are superb for dried flower arrangements.

Cultivation:
Sow seed in containers in spring for best results, but the seed may be scattered where it is to grow. Grow in any moderately fertile soil in sun or partial shade. Plants may need shelter from wind, or staking in exposed areas. For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
