Echium russicum
Echium russicum

Native Region: Europe
Zone Range: 08-10
Preferred Climate: Warm to hot temperate
Harvest Date: Tuesday 08 August, 2006
Seed count: 25-30

Description:
This biennial starts with an attractive rosette of leaves in the first year and busts forth in the second year with flower spikes that range from pink to deep red, depending on the individual bloom’s age.

Cultivation:
Sow seed in spring where they are to grow. All Echium species hate root disturbance and transplanting can kill them. These plants will tolerate a range of soils, as long as they are not too rich or poorly drained. Preferably, grow in moderately-fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.

Harvest Date: Tuesday 08 August, 2006
