 Euphorbia characias |
Native Region: Western Mediterranean, Portugal Zone Range: 07-10 Preferred Climate: Cool to hot temperate Harvest Date: Sunday 29 June, 2008 Seed count: 25-30
Notes: Easy to start from seed, this is a striking evergreen perennial that functions for all intents and purposes as small shrub. Popular for many modern architectural gardens and is well suited to water thrifty gardening.
Cultivation: Sow seed in in containers in the spring. Grow on in well drained soil of low to moderate fertility. Although this plant can tolerate a surprising amount of shade, the best form and colour is produced in full sun. For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
