Description: Fast-growing, broadly columnar deciduous tree that produces fragrant lilac flowers in large upright panicles in late spring as the leaves emerge. Tolerates atmospheric pollution and poor soil. Makes a spectacular specimen tree to 40 feet high with a 30 foot spread.
