Ampelopsis megalophylla
Native Region: Western China
Zone Range: 05-09
Preferred Climate: Cool to hot temperate
Harvest Date: Tuesday 18 September, 2012
Seed count: 25-30

Description:
The small green flowers in summer are soon followed by rose-red berries that ripen to black in the fall. This vigorous but delicate looking vine, with it's large bipinate leaves, is attractive when grown over large pergolas and arbours.

Notes:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.

Cultivation:
Sow seed in autumn, or stratify in sand in the spring. To stratify; use a clean container with clean damp sand, place seed on the surface and cover with a thin 1cm(½in) of additional damp sand. Refrigerate for six weeks. Seed may then be sown in containers in a cool greenhouse or coldframe. Grow on in moist, well drained, moderately fertile soil.

Harvest Date: Tuesday 18 September, 2012
