Native Region: South Korea Zone Range: 05-09 Preferred Climate: Warm to cold temperate Seed count: 20-25
Description:
A conifer with a truly elegant form, the Korean Fir has much to recommend it. The deep green needles, silver-white underneath, are evenly spaced on the branches, giving the tree a remarkably tidy appearance. The cones, which sit bolt upright on the branches, are one of this tree's most attractive features.
Notes: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
Cultivation: Sow seed in autumn in containers out doors. For spring sowings, the seed should be stratified - place in sterile damp sand and refrigerate for up to 6 weeks. Check for spouting after the fourth week. Plant seeds, or sprouted seeds, in sterile potting medium and grow on in a sheltered location for the first year.
