Description:
These annual vines, which grow as short-lived perennials in the tropics, are a spectacular addition to gardens where you want arbours or pergolas covered with annual colour. The small flower buds, which start as deep orange, almost red, fade to yellow, and then white as they expand. They are produced in almost continuous succession from midsummer until the first frost.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
Cultivation:
In mid spring scarify the hard seed coats with sand paper or an emery board and soak the seeds for 24-36 hours in pure fresh water before planting. Sow individually into pots of sterile growing medium and germinate at 21ºC (70ºF) then grow on at slightly cooler temperatures. Plant out when night temperatures do not drop much below 10ºC (50ºF). Grow on in any good garden soil with good drainage in full sun.
