 Alchemilla mollis |
Native Region: East Carpathians, Turkey, Caucasus Zone Range: 04-09 Preferred Climate: Temperate Harvest Date: Sunday 07 August, 2016 Seed count: 25-30
Description:
This clump-forming perennial has rounded, shallowly lobed hairy leaves that are blue-green in colour. Cymes of greenish-yellow flowers are produced in summer. 24-30 inch height and spread.
Notes: Water beads like pearls after a heavy dew or rain. The large clusters of tiny yellow-green flowers are popular for flower arranging.
Cultivation: Sow seed in containers in a coldframe in spring. Grow on in normal garden soil in full sun or part shade. Water regularly only for the first season or so, as these plants are relatively drought tolerant. For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
