Crataegus schraderiana
Native Region: Greece
Zone Range: 07-09
Preferred Climate: Cool to warm temperate
Harvest Date: Tuesday 13 October, 2009
Seed count: 20-25

Description:
Thorny deciduous shrub or small tree with silvery cut foliage that bears creamy white flowers followed by abundant purple fruits. Height and spread up to 13 feet.

Cultivation:
Sow seeds in a container in a coldframe and maintain light even moisture for up to 18 months. Allow some exposure to the cold, but it's probably safest to offer protection from temperatures below -5°C (25°F). Grow on in any good garden soil, though prefers a moisture-retentive loamy soil. Flowers and fruits best in full sun. Offer some protection from drying winter winds or extreme dry conditions in the summer. For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
