This clump-forming perennial is grown for its heart-shaped puckered thick glaucous gray-green leaves from 10-20 inches long. In early summer, lilac flowers are born on tall stems. Height 3 feet; spread 4 feet.
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in a cool greenhouse or coldframe in spring. Grow on in any good garden soil with good drainage in part to full shade. Plants should attain flowering size in 2-3 years. General care is the same as for any Hosta.
