Description:
This upright deciduous shrub has gray-green leaves and produces clusters of fragrant purplish-pink flowers before the leaves in late winter and early spring, followed by round red fruit. 4 feet height;3 feet spread.
Cultivation: Sow seed in containers in a cold frame as soon as ripe. Grow in moderately-fertile, humus-rich well-drained soil in full sun. Resents transplanting; plant into permanent location and leave undisturbed. For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
