Description: This is a true alpine plant, in that its origins are the European Alps. A good choice for the rock garden, or to naturalize on rock walls, this small mat-forming plant will begin to flower in the late winter and continue for many months. The small white blooms are held 5-15cm (2-6in) above the dark green leaves. Very reliable.
Cultivation: Sow seed in containers in a coldframe in autumn or spring. Seed may also be sown in situ in the crevices of a rock wall, or in the rock garden. Grow on in any almost soil with good drainage. For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
