Bushy deciduous shrub or small tree with oval green leaves that turn yellow, orange and red in autumn. The fruiting panicles turn gray and give the appearance of a smokey haze over the plant --hence its common name of smoketree. Height and spread up to 15 feet.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in autumn. Grow in moderately-fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun.
