This rare snowdrop has bright green shiny leaves and in late winter or early spring produces white blooms with a delicate green horseshoe mark at the base of the inner flower.
For maximum freshness, keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until ready to sow. Sow seed as soon as ripe in containers in an open frame; keep shaded in summer. Grow in humusy moist but well-drained soil that does not dry out in summer, in part shade.
