This lovely evergreen fern has triangular, lace-like fronds produced on black stalks. Grows 6 inches high and spreads at a rate of 6-8 inches a year. Makes a wonderful groundcover in the woodland garden. Drought-tolerant once established if grown in part shade.
For details on starting ferns from spore, check out the article on starting spores in our Articles section to read more. Sow spores at 15 degrees Celsius. Grow in humusy, moist but well-drained slightly acidic soil in partial shade. For maximum freshness, please keep fern spore refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant.
