Description:
This clump-forming semi-evergreen perennial has lance-shaped green leaves, prominently veined and downy underneath. Bears spikes of narrow, bell-shaped red to purple flowers from mid-summer to fall. Height/spread is four feet.
Notes: Germination takes 4-6 months.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seeds in autumn into pots using seed compost mixed with coarse horticultural sand. Cover with horticultural sand and place outside to expose to all weather. Grow in any moist soil in full sun or part shade.
