Description:
This conical to columnar pine has blue-green needles and scaly purplish-brown bark. The red-brown female cones are oblong and about 3 inches long. Height 30 feet; spread 20 feet.
Notes: These seeds have been collected from specimens in the glauca group, noted for their blue-green needles and superb form. Tends to come true from seed. Well suited to bonsai.
If sowing seed in spring, cold stratify for 4-6 weeks.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in autumn in containers outdoors. Grow on in a sheltered location for the first year in any moist well-drained soil in full sun.
