Zone Range: 04-09
Preferred Climate: Temperate
Harvest Date: Tuesday 11 July, 2023
Seed count: 20-25

Description:
This bulbous perennial is smaller than the other Camassias, but is nonetheless a desirable and attractive plant bearing bright blue flowers. Height 8-32 inches. When given sufficient moisture and a suitable location, this species is able to naturalize easily.

Cultivation:
For maximum freshness, keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until time to plant. Sow seed in fall into pots, cover with a thin layer of coarse sand and place in a cold frame. For spring sowings, soak seed in water, then place in pots, cover with a thin layer of coarse sand, and refrigerate for 4-6 weeks. Move pots to a cool sheltered location with bright indirect light to complete germination. Grow in a sunny location.
