Native Region: Western China - Sichuan
Zone Range: 08-10
Preferred Climate: Temperate to warm temperate woodland
Harvest Date: Tuesday 05 November, 2024
Seed count: 10-12

Description:
This sprawling evergreen shrub grows to 4 feet in height. The large compound leaves are dark green with lighter green veins, and almost pure white indumentum on the undersides. Burgundy and white flowers appear in mid to late summer, followed by blue/black fruit in fall. Suits a woodland garden.

Notes:
Germination can take from 3 to 6 months.

Cultivation:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in pots in a cold frame when ripe. Cold stratification can improve germination. To cold stratify, soak seed in clean water for 24-36 hours, then place in pots of sterilized growing medium and refrigerate for 6-8 weeks. Grow on in moist but well-drained soil in part to full shade.
