This deciduous, rhizomatous perennial has palmately-compound green leaves with three fan-shaped leaflets. The leaves have a vanilla-like fragrance when dry. Spikes of petal-less flowers appear in spring. Height to 12 inches. Useful as a groun.dcover in a garden of BC native plants.
Notes: The leaves of this plant were used by BC indigenous people as a treatment for tuberculosis
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers at 18-22ºC (64-71ºF) for 2-4 weeks, move to -6 to -7ºC (19-21ºF) for 4-6 weeks, move to 5-12ºC (41-53ºF) for germination. Grow on in moist soil in part to full shade.
