This clump-forming perennial has ovate to rounded green leaves in whorls of three up to 12 inches long. In mid-spring, pure white flowers with three leaf-like sepals are borne above the leaves. Suits a woodland garden. Height to 16 inches; spread 12 inches.
The genus Trillium is now in the family Melanthiaceae.
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a shaded cold frame. Leaves will not typically appear till the second spring and plants may take 5 years to flower.
