Description:
This clump-forming perennial has ovate to rounded green leaves in whorls of three up to 12 inches long. In mid-spring, pure white flowers with three leaf-like sepals are borne above the leaves. Suits a woodland garden. Height to 16 inches; spread 12 inches.
Notes: The genus Trillium is now in the family Melanthiaceae.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a shaded cold frame. Leaves will not typically appear till the second spring and plants may take 5 years to flower.
