Description:
This robust species rose has stems densely covered with short weak prickles, and toothed mid-green leaves divided into 5-7 oblong leaflets. It bears solitary, showy, single pink flowers 5-7 cm. on short side branches, followed by small red hips. Height to 3 meters, spread 2 meters. Alberta provincial flower, on Alberta license plates since 1987.

Cultivation:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in autumn. Grow in moderately-fertile, well-drained humusy soil in full sun.
