This erect, thorny deciduous shrub in the family Leguminosae has light green pinnate leaves and bears pale yellow flowers in late spring. Height to 20 feet; spread 12 feet.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in an open frame as soon as ripe. Pre-soak spring-sown seed in warm water. Grow in well-drained, moderately-fertile soil in full sun. Tolerates poor, dry soils in cold and exposed positions.
