Description:
This small, spreading deciduous tree has elliptic, finely toothed green leaves that turn yellow in autumn. In late spring, profuse clusters of up to six pendent, bell-shaped white flowers emerge just prior to the leaves. Height 25 feet; spread 30 feet.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers at 14-25 degrees C. in autumn, moving containers to a cold frame after 60 days. Grow in fertile, humusy moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Prefers a neutral to slightly acidic soil.
