Description:
This woody-based evergreen perennial produces racemes of tubular scarlet flowers over long periods in late summer and early fall. Height 12 inches; spread 20 inches. Attractive to hummingbirds.
Cultivation: For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame in spring. Use 1 part compost to 1 part coarse horticultural sand mixture in containers. Cover seed with horticultural sand. Germination takes 1 to 6 months. Grow in moderately-fertile well-drained soil in full sun. Protect from wind.
