This evergreen perennial has 3-5 lobed toothed green leaves and bears saucer-shaped yellow flowers in late spring. Height 24 inches.

For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame, preferably as soon as ripe or in spring. Use soilless seed starting mix, sow thinly and keep moist. Light is needed for germination. Keep fall-sown seedlings in a cold greenhouse or cold frame the first winter. Grow in humusy, moist but well-drained soil in part-shade with shelter from drying winds.
