Description:
This drought-tolerant herbaceous biennial has fuzzy basal leaves and bears spikes of red-purple flowers that attract bees and butterflies. Height is 12-20 inches.

Notes:
Drought-tolerant; suitable for xeriscaping.

Cultivation:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed at 13-16 degrees Celsius in summer; overwinter seedlings at 5-7 degrees Celsius. Grow in moderatley-fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Self-seeds freely; deadhead if you don't want seedlings.
