Description:
Ariseamas are a true collector’s plant, and a superb addition to any woodland garden. This tuberous perennial has palmate green leaves and bears greenish yellow spathes in summer. 4-18 inches tall.

Notes:
A treasure for your garden, these plants will slowly increase their numbers where they are happy.

Cultivation:
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. This is one of the easier Ariseamas to grow from seed, however, some care is needed for succesful germination. Seed must be carefully scarified with an emery board or sandpaper, then soaked for 24 hours in pure fresh water. During this time the seed should swell slightly, which is a clear indication that it is ready to plant. Treated seed should then be planted in seedling containers, one to three seeds per pot, and placed in a coldframe or outdoors in a sheltered location. Plants should be grown in a woodland setting (partial shade) with ample moisture on well drained soil that is fairly rich in organic material.
