This rare perennial has large umbrella-like, fuzzy green leaves topped by clusters of white six-petalled flowers in late spring. When it rains on the flowers, then become translucent, but turn white again once they dry--leading to the common name 'skeleton flower.' The flowers are followed by clusters of bright blue berries held on reddish stalks. Height and spread two-three feet.
For maximum freshness, please keep seed refrigerated in its original packaging until it is time to plant. Sow seed in containers in a cold frame as soon as available. Grow in moist, humusy soil in part to full shade, protected from winds.
